Wild Way Retreat: July 31   -   August 2, 2020

Picture
We need this right now...
Join us for a transformational three day experience in the hills of Westcliffe, Colorado, meeting wolves, giving back, and meeting yourself once again.
The effects of the pandemic on the earth have been profound. Animals and plants are coming back to life. The air is clear and our waterways are blue once again. Our time indoors has been so stressful - not having certainty or familiarity from one day to the next. It's time for us to head out once again and find our roots in nature.
Research has shown the vast benefits of being outdoors. Weather it's your body or soul that hurts, nature will help you heal.

Wolves?
Mission Wolf borders national forest land, and gives a home to wolf and wolf dog mixes. Undomesticated, wolves have unique way of communicating through presence and energy. If we are lucky, we will get to learn how to say hello!
Our time will be spent volunteering on site, moving firewood or constructing shelter. Volunteers are critical to the continued existence of Mission Wolf. In the process, you will learn about the many misconceptions surrounding wolves and their role in the ecosystem. An up close encounter with these deeply intuitive and wild beings will set you up for an amazing solo experience.
Registration is limited to 6 participants.
All Covid social distancing precautions will be observed. (Also, it helps that this is a SOLO retreat!)
Investment: $475
Your investment includes facilitation, a group dinner, Friday snacks and a donation to Mission Wolf on behalf of the group.

Solo?
A wilderness solo is a time honored ceremony, to help you reconnect and reset. Time spent alone in nature will change your perspective, help you sleep better, be more grateful, and reclaim the parts of yourself that stress has worn away. Three days and two nights are the perfect amount to start feeling like yourself again.

Will I be safe?
This program is facilitated by two licensed therapists and a Wilderness First Responder and guide. You will be within reach of help at all times and able to communicate if you need anything. In addition to twice daily check-ins, each of your individual concerns will be addressed during your registration call. This form of "Solo" is used by NOLS, and involves group communication and accountability. Even though you will be by yourself, you will never be truly alone.

How do I decide if I'm ready?
If you need a break, want to try something new, crave alone time or want to do some soul searching - you are ready! No camping experience is required, though it does help. We will cover gear needs (and offer support), meet the group members over Zoom, and you will have access to a 10 day prep program to help you feel physically, mentally and spiritually confident.
