Women's Summer Climbing Groups  - Registration Now Open!

Before you say "Oh no way!" Take a closer look...
Picture
The Wild and Wonderful women's only ice climbing group is for the person who says aloud:

"There is no way I'd want to do that."

And inside says:

"That world isn't for me," or "I'm not enough,"
Still it tugs and calls...  the beauty of the ice, the prospect of friendships and adventure.
This group is for you.

We start with getting ready for the cold! Learning how to layer clothes, put on crampons, move through snow, and eat/hydrate. When we first get on the ice, you will be ready.

Over the course, you will learn how to keep yourself safe, technical skills and technique, all while learning about yourself and growing in mindfulness and self awareness.

Where?  Various locations, including Mt. Lincoln, Idaho Springs and Rawlins.

Who? You (yes you, we covered this already :) and anyone you know who may benefit from a nature based, therapeutic experience. I am offering 10% off to anyone who joins with a friend (or stranger you tell!) Yes, you both will get 10% off.

When? Five (5) Saturdays between February 1st and 29th. These will be full days (7am to 4pm) and are weather dependent. There will be no trips on blizzard days.

What? ICE climbing for women who are looking to learn more about themselves, reduce stress, increase mindfulness, learn how to handle and process emotions, and cultivate healthy relationships.

Cost? This 5 (+1 bonus cold weather prep day) session course is $325, - much cheaper than therapy or a guided trip!

Here is the kicker: Ice climbing requires more gear than rock climbing, including boots and warm weather layers. At our first meeting (and before via some education and training emails) we will see who needs what and make arrangements to share or purchase at a discount. Just for reference, BentGate in Golden offers rental boots for $24 per day, and can be reserved in advance.

It's a commitment ladies, but there is a way to make it work!

No experience or equipment required! Use the payment button below and I will contact you with more information, or feel free to email with your questions! Aleya@WWLCouseling.com Don't forget, with a friend you both will get 10% off the course cost!

From a summer group participant...

"I grew up in the Springs and have seen people climbing those rocks at Garden of the Gods since I was little. Although I'd been to a climbing gym once or twice, it never occurred to me that I'd be able to really climb. And then Sarah told me about this group and... it has genuinely changed my life. I have so much more confidence in myself, I'm proud of myself for a physical accomplishment, which is really new -- haha I'm not very athletic. And I've been in such a rut in life lately and not feeling motivated or like I can finish things I put my mind to... but up on the rock, I get to make the decision to continue even when it's hard, and feel the rush of getting to the top or pulling myself up by my fist (omg I love the cracks!) or even making the conscious decision to come down. It's really impacted my life in so many ways. This group, and you, and the other women in the group... it just made me see myself and the world very differently. I can't wait to continue growing and learning as a climber, and probably also building out my gear collection."
