Rock climbing is a full-body therapeutic activity that focuses on joining the mind with your movement and moods. This rock climbing group uses mindfulness and rock climbing to decreases symptoms of anxiety, depression, insomnia and relational trouble.
This once weekly (for 8 weeks) psychoeducational climbing class teaches mindfulness and basic rock climbing skills in the context of a women's only social group. Ready to take your climbing game to the next level? Join us for our Saturday morning (8am - 12pm) climbing skills workshop series!
September 23rd: Gear and Anchors - Learn how to safely set top rope anchors, and learn some techniques for safely getting yourself to the edge and back. October 7th: Intro to Sport Leading - Learn and practice sport leading techniques, safely cleaning a sport anchor, and lead belaying. October 14th: Self Rescue 101 - Learn how to escape a belay, ascend a rope, rescue a leader and even make a stretcher out of your rope! October 28th: Multi-Pitch 101 - Learn the basics of multi-pitch climbing, including reading routes, bailing, rope management and rappelling. |

Women's Rock Climbing Group - Deposit
Are you stressed out (reads "feeling low and anxious"), looking for support, or maybe just wanting to try something new? Join a group of women looking to learn about themselves through rock climbing. No experience necessary. The focus of this group is to practice mindfulness and stress reduction techniques while learning the skills of rock climbing.
Come enjoy the outdoors this fall in a heart centered way with like-minded women.
This group is led by AMGA certified guide and adventure therapist Aleya Littleton. Aleya has been a climbing instructor for the past 10 years, and has climbed all over the United States and internationally. She knows that women learn to climb and experience the world differently than men, and seeks to create a supportive and respectful atmosphere where her clients are empowered, safe and inspired.
